Job Title: Interior Designer

Job Summary:

As a Interior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in our design team, bringing creativity, expertise, and vision to our interior design projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, and other design professionals to conceptualize, develop, and execute interior design solutions that meet the needs and aspirations of our clients. This role requires a combination of artistic flair, technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of interior design principles.

Responsibilities:

Conceptualization and Design Development:

• Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
• Generate innovative and creative interior design concepts that align with client preferences, brand identity, and project goals.
• Develop design sketches, mood boards, and concept presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to clients and team members.

Space Planning and Layout Design:

• Conduct space planning exercises to optimize the functionality and flow of interior spaces.
• Create detailed floor plans, furniture layouts, and elevation drawings to illustrate design proposals.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards in all design solutions.

Material and Finishes Selection:

• Research and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures that enhance the aesthetic and functional qualities of interior spaces.
• Source and evaluate furniture, lighting, fabrics, and accessories to complement the overall design concept.
• Prepare material boards and sample presentations for client review and approval.

Technical Documentation:

• Produce comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawings, schedules, and specifications, for bidding and construction purposes.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate interior design elements seamlessly into overall building plans.
• Review shop drawings and material samples to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.

Project Management and Coordination:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with project team members, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables and materials.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and ensure quality control during construction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience of minimum 4 years working as an interior designer, preferably in a design firm or architectural practice.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and building codes/regulations.
• Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of interior design projects and creative abilities.

Location: Dubai

Annual Salary (CTC): AED 100 - 200K per annum
