As a Sr. Build & Release Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and lead the development of innovative solutions to manage our infrastructure and improve our CI/CD pipeline. Primary Skills
- Strong scripting skills in Groovy and Python, with the ability to automate and optimize processes using scripting and infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Expertise in CI/CD Pipeline and Tools such as Jenkins and GitLab and development of shared libraries
- In-depth knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Node.js package/module creation and publishing, dependency management tools (npm, yarn), JavaScript libraries and build tooling.
- Building IOS and Android applications, with knowledge on releasing to App Center and Testflight
- Comfortable with version control systems (Git, SVN) and Linux Command line
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Good to have Skills
- Agile Scrum based Development.
- Experience in signing & attestation, building and releasing Mobile (Android & IOS) applications to market.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with hands-on expertise in building AWS AMIs to use as custom build servers.
- Experience with common OSS observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki), and implementation (Metrics, Logs, Traces)
- Exposure to Artifact repositories (Artifactory), Content Delivery Networks (CDN)
- Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in a production environment
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Development of innovative solutions to manage our infrastructure and improve our CI/CD pipelines.
- Be Responsive & Reliable and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our systems.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders across world to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of projects
- Initiate deep technical design discussions within team, and across partner teams, and ensure that we are building the right systems and keeping the quality high.
- Enable our infrastructure to achieve a high level of reliability while keeping simplicity front and center.
- Champion and build automation first within the infrastructure group
- Build tools that streamline development and deployment of infrastructure stacks
- Build and scale our monitoring and metrics tooling, standards, and processes, to facilitate data-informed decision making.
- Perform code reviews and sanity checks for the code developed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and make recommendations for improving the company's technology stack
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
