Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and talented Platform Engineering Manager to join our team. As the Platform Engineering Manager, you will serve as a key point of contact for SIE US Leadership, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between US Managers and other teams, fostering open and transparent communication channels to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Possess a strong background in SRE and proven leadership experience, enabling you to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the team.
• Drive the growth, grooming, and expansion of the current teams, cultivating a multiplier effect by nurturing talent and promoting professional development.
• Possess a deep understanding of the opportunities within the Platform Engineering function, and empower and grow the Global Infrastructure and Site Controls (GISC) team to effectively support and "continue to improve current processes.
• Actively participate and champion the Platform Engineering roadmap and ceremonies, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Take charge of the smooth onboarding process for affiliates, ensuring a seamless integration into the platform and fostering positive working relationships.
• Work towards unifying the working hours of the India team to enhance collaboration and efficiency across different time zones.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and a deep understanding of engineering principles.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with AWS/GCP cloud technologies, leveraging their capabilities to drive platform excellence.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and Docker, with the ability to design and manage scalable containerized applications.
• Preferred experience with programming languages such as Golang and Python, enabling you to provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, allowing for efficient and automated management of infrastructure resources
