Job Scope : Bacterial Culture, Knowledge of submerged Fermenters, capable of resolving technical quires from market
Job Responsibilities:
- Screening and Selection of potential probiotic bacteria, Identification of micro organism, Process optimization submerged fermentation (SmF) and running upstream and down stream, Operating entrifuges and Freeze dryers
- Microbial analysis (Total cell viability count and Pathogens) of Probiotic process intermediates, Probiotic finished products and stability samples.
- Preparation of Media, inventory and consumption records, growth promotion test, sub- culturing & culture suspension and destruction of media.
- Working on lyoprotectant to increase shelf-life of the probiotics.
- Lab based Probiotic culture
- Production by Bio-Processing Processes.
- Preparation of seed Inoculum culture for the Pilot Scale Production.
- Probiotic Cultures Handled - Bacteria: Lactobacillus acidophillus, Lactobacillus plantanum, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus bulgarius, Lactobacillus reuteri, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium longum, Bacillus coagulans, Bacillus subtilis; Bacillus clausii; Yeast: Saccharomyces boulardii, Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
- Biochemical testing for identification of Microorganisms.
- Operation of HPHV-Sterilizer, Vertical Autoclave and maintain record.
- Handling of 3L, 5L Sartorius
- Biostat Fermenter, 40L Fermenter.
- Temperature-humidity records for humidity chamber & incubators.
Experience : Min 2-3 Years experience in Fermentation Production Units or Probiotic Manufacturing units
CTC : INR 3 - 4.5 LPA
Education : M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Bioprocess Engineering / Biotech / M.Tech Microbiology/ Biotechnology
Preferred Skill Sets : Fungus Culture isolation, Solid state fermentation
Mandatory Skill sets : Previous experience in bacterial Culture isolation, Submerged fermentation
