Senior Technical Architect

Role Purpose

Lead Full Stack developer to work on software development of in-house systems, from new feature/product development through to supporting existing systems. This role will cover a range of systems and will incorporate a degree of responsibility within the department.

Experience required – 12 to 15 Years 

Background

The company has a range of in-house and external software systems in use for various day to day activities, some created by the company, others by 3rd parties. The organisation requires new systems to be developed as well as supporting new features/bug-fixes on existing systems and legacy code. 

Main

Support both in-house and 3rd party software systems and hardware by developing new systems/features as well as supporting the existing codebase. Day to day activities will include bug fixes, simple feature requests, with longer term projects set on a quarterly basis. This role is for a senior full stack developer with experience in creating SAAS or application specific software targeted towards the web. The role requires a view of the full stack, from backend to front end to API’s, knowledge of managing a linux server, docker etc. This role will involve some degree of responsibility within the department, assisting the manager with duties such as workload, organising release cycles and guidance within the rest of the team etc.

Key Responsibilities 

• Ensuring all work is done with the highest level of attention to detail
• To scope out new functionality, manage own and others projects to time
• Develop new systems/features using agreed technologies
• To assist with day to day support of existing systems
• Substantial commercial experience in web based software development

Key Requirements 

• Good understanding of web development lifecycles/tools (GIT, DOCKER etc.)
• Experienced in PHP, Laravel, HTML, CSS/SCSS, JS, SQL
• Experienced in working with MVC/MSVC, OO and data binding techniques
• Must be punctual, straightforward, logical, methodical thinker
• Working on own or open source projects, examples of work
• Strong knowledge of Core PHP, PHP frameworks and Angular
• Have a good experience of leading project.

Additional Experience 

• Experience working on/with eCommerce solutions would be of great interest
• Experience working on/with Slim would be of great interest
• Experience working on/with databinding solutions Angular/Polymer would be of great interest
