We are looking for a Systems Admininstrator - Devops in our Gurgaon office to assist with high profile, technically challenging projects with leading US based and multinational corporations.
The selected candidate will work as part of our Devops practice and perform system administration and troubleshooting functions. Examples of assignments include installation and upgrade, set up and customization of devops products such as JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence etc., coding in shell scripts or a language of your choice to help clients migrate to the desired Devops environment, etc.
We are looking for a smart system administrator who has strong experience in UNIX related installations and has the ability to code small applications in shell scripts or a language of your choice. While knowledge of Devops products is desired, it is not required. We will train you as needed.
Required skills:
- 2-5 years of experience as a general system administrator on Windows and Linux systems.
- Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (Bash, MS Power Shell, Apache Ant)
- Knowledge of Web Application servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of networking best practices as well as network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of, and experience working with, Network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, LDAP, VPN
- Demonstrable understanding of configuration, monitoring, backup and security practices for a corporate infrastructure.
- Ability to use one or more high-level programming (Java, Javascript, HTML, XML, Python)
Optional Skills:
- Understanding of the Atlassian product suite and best practices around their deployment, maintenance and upgrade
- Familiarity with various database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySql, Oracle, MSSql)
- Experience in setting up, configuring and monitoring network LAN/WLAN appliances (firewalls, routers, switches, etc.)
- Familiarity with a Version Control System (GIT, Mercurial, SVN)
- Knowledge of virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or other)
- Familiarity with configuration management Tools (Puppets, Chef, Ansible, Docker)
- Familiarity with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Elastic Stack,Nagios, Apache JMeter)
- Previous experience with build management systems (Maven), source management systems (GIT) and continuous integration tools
- Experience with Agile methodologies (XP, Scrum, etc)
